The Commercial Fishing Safety Advisory Committee (CFSAC), sponsored by the U.S. Coast Guard, will meet on September 15 & 16, 2015 in Seattle, WA. ​ AMSEA will be offering another Marine Safety Instructor Training (MSIT) course in Sitka, Alaska from September 22-27. This is a train-the-trainer course preparing students to teach AMSEA courses in cold water survival procedures, marine safety equipment and onboard safety drills. The course is designed for those wanting to teach cold-water safety and survival in a variety of settings – for commercial fishermen, private businesses or government agencies, for recreational boaters, in schools, etc. There are only a few spots left, and early bird registration ends September 12th.
