AMSEA is conducting a Fishing Vessel Stability class in Sitka, AK. The class will cover these topics:

  • Stability Risks

  • Seamanship

  • Risk Factors for Different Fisheries and Operations

  • How to Calculate, Evaluate, and Display Your Vessel’s Stability

  • How Stability Guidance is Created


This class is U.S. Coast Guard accepted. The Coast Guard recommends stability training for commercial fishermen. Please bring a photo ID and a copy of the vessel's stability book (if available).
