AMSEA has a large inventory of safety equipment that is available for AMSEA-certified instructors to use in cold-water and outdoor safety training. You may order training equipment and books & supplies online at the links below.

Criteria for Borrowing Gear

Only AMSEA-trained and accepted instructors may borrow training gear.

A Pre-Course Report is required prior to placing your gear order.

Request your equipment at least three weeks before you will need your gear.

Read all information, instructions, equipment loan criteria and agree to the terms on the order form when making your request.

You are responsible for shipping all items back to AMSEA at your expense.

AMSEA gear is not used for training as part of commercial, for-profit enterprise. AMSEA gear is for training conducted through a school, non-profit organization, public agency, or by private individuals offering training as a public service.

Beating the Odds & Drill Manuals
AMSEA makes Beating the Odds, Drill Manuals, and Drill Conductor Cards available to AMSEA instructors at no cost, provided that the training offered is part of commercial, for-profit enterprise.
Drill Conductor Cards

Drill Conductor cards are issued to all students that successfully complete the 18-hour or 10-hour Drill Conductor courses by successfully demonstrating sixteen out of eighteen skills.

This card serves as proof of compliance with the U.S. Coast Guard training requirements as found in 46 CFR 28.265 and 46 CFR 28.270.

AMSEA does not issue Drill Conductor cards to anyone under the age of 16. Certificates of completions for students under 16 are available upon request.
