AMSEA is offering an Emergency Procedures & Onboard Drills workshop in Homer, Alaska. This workshop will introduce charter boat operators, recreational boaters, and commercial fishermen to the skills needed to manage emergencies at sea.


Instructor Mike Morris will cover these topics:


  • Cold-Water Survival Skills

  • EPIRBs, Flares, and MAYDAYs

  • Man Overboard Recovery

  • Firefighting

  • Flooding and Damage Control

  • Immersion Suits and PFDs

  • Abandon Ship Procedures

  • Emergency Drills

This course is free to all mariners thanks to support form the U.S. Coast Guard, DCCED, and NIOSH.
