Fishing Partnership Support Services is offering a Drill Conductor Training in New Bedford, Massachusetts. This course meets the Drill Conductor certification requirements of 46 CFR 28.270, and is delivered at no cost to commercial fishermen by Coast Guard Certified Marine Safety instructors. To qualify, you must have attended our Safety and Survival Training course within the past year. Fishing Partnerships's Safety and Survivability Training is a pre-requisite for this class. Fishing Partnerhsip will offer a Safety & Survivability Training in New Bedford on March 9.
Upon completion of the Drill Conductor course, you will be prepared and certified to conduct emergency drills: Man Overboard, Fire, Damage Control, and Abandon Ship. (Commercial fishing vessels operating beyond the three nautical miles are required to conduct these drills on a monthly basis). The one-day training involves an Emergency Procedures classroom/morning section and On-board Drills (aboard a local vessel) afternoon section.
