Course assignments are submitted online and graded throughout the semester. Successful completion of this course certifies one to teach AMSEA's K-12 curriculum, Surviving Outdoor Adventures. Participants will also come way with lesson plans they can use with their own students. Two graduate level academic credits (593 level) will be awarded by the University of Alaska Southeast.

A practicum can be scheduled on an individual basis after the class.
