The U. S. Coast Guard announces the open comment period on recommendations
made from the National Commercial Fishing Safety Advisory Committee (NCFSAC).
The NCFSAC is composed of representatives from the commercial fishing industry. It
provides advice and recommendations to the Coast Guard on matters relating to the
safe operation of fishing vessels. The Committee met in September 2023 and made
eight recommendations. The Coast Guard requests public comments on these
recommendations.
