A Gift that Keeps on Giving!

Jeff Pearson

Why does this guy looks so happy? Maybe, it's because he's stepping off a Coast Guard helicopter after his fishing boat sank in the Gulf of Alaska. While that's a bad day in any fisherman's career, it could have been so much worse.

Would you like to hear more news of crews saved? This holiday season, give a gift of emergency preparedness and survival training to commercial fishermen and other mariners, by becoming an AMSEA member. Your membership donation helps AMSEA continue to bring marine safety and cold-water survival training to communities around the United States.

Since 1985, AMSEA has taught marine safety skills to tens of thousands of mariners. In the past year alone, AMSEA trained instructors have taught:

• Marine safety skills to more than 1,500 commercial fishermen; • Cold-water safety & survival skills to over 1,900 school children; • Trained 51 new marine safety instructors; • In 72 communities, in 21 states and U.S. territories.

When you become an AMSEA member, you won't be alone. Check out our membership page to see the many individuals, businesses, and organizations who have already made a commitment to spreading marine safety skills and preparedness.

While AMSEA is happy to receive membership donations in any amount, you can receive the gift of an AMSEA oiled cotton hat or hand-thrown coffee mug when you donate $150 or more. Join us in helping commercial fishermen and other mariners to survive emergencies at sea. Click here to make a donation online or call us at (907) 747-3287.
