Organizations

Fish Safe BC – Administered by the British Columbia Seafood Alliance.

International Maritime Organization – Sets standards concerning maritime safety, efficiency of navigation and prevention and control of marine pollution from ships.

MarineTraffic - A worldwide map showing the position of vessels equipped with AIS (automatic identification system) transmitters.

Maritime & Coastguard Agency – The United Kingdom's coast guard.

National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) - A professional association representing the recreational boating authorities nationwide.

National Safe Boating Council, Inc. – Promotes safe boating through information and education.

Southeast Alaska Pilots' Association -  A professional association representing marine pilots and providing much useful information for mariners in Southeast Alaska waters.

Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) - Volunteer lifeboat service has saved over 142,700 lives since 1824 in the UK and Ireland. RNLI shares safety knowledge with anyone going out to sea or to the coast.
