We’re heading to Pacific Marine Expo!

We’re thrilled to be back in Seattle for Pacific Marine Expo 2026, happening November 19-21 at the Seattle Convention Center Arch Building. Stop by Booth #1404 to say hello, hear about upcoming training opportunities, and talk about safety at sea with our team.

Thursday starts on the Main Stage, where we’re hosting Surviving Vessel Disasters: Factors Contributing to Survival of Cold-Water Immersion from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. AMSEA instructor, Kennedy Menendez, will moderate a panel with representatives from the U.S. Coast Guard, NIOSH, the National Transportation Safety Board, and the survival equipment industry. They’ll look at what helps crewmembers survive when a vessel goes down in cold water, and how training, maintenance, and good decision making can keep a sinking from happening at all. Learn more about the Main Stage session.

If you’d rather learn by doing, head to the National Fisherman Arena on Thursday or Friday for one of our Survival Craft Deployment Workshops. In 30 minutes, you’ll work through a real liferaft deployment: getting the raft out of its canister and over the side, hauling the painter line, and watching the CO₂ canister fire. You’ll also get a close look at a SOLAS survival kit and find out what to do if you can’t deploy the raft yourself. The workshops are free with Expo registration and run several times over the two days.

Project Gabe, our opioid overdose program, will also be at the Expo with Working Through the Pain: Opioid Awareness & Naloxone Training for Commercial Fishermen. These 30-minute workshops cover chronic pain, opioid misuse, fentanyl, overdose response, and how to use Naloxone. Finish the training and you’ll receive AMSEA certification in overdose education and Naloxone training, along with a free opioid overdose dry bag that includes Naloxone, PPE, and other resources. You can find us Thursday and Friday at the Project Gabe Workshop Booth on the Skybridge. Learn more about Project Gabe and the workshops.

There’s a lot happening, so whether you come for the Main Stage session, a hands on survival craft workshop, a Project Gabe training, or just a walk around the Expo floor, stop by and say hi to the AMSEA crew!

Pacific Marine Expo takes place November 19-21, 2026, at the Seattle Convention Center Arch Building, 705 Pike Street, Seattle, Washington. Learn more and register.
