AMSEA bids a fond farewell to Amy Blair, our long time Finance Director. Amy is leaving AMSEA to spend time on personal pursuits. We will miss her thoughtful, cheerful presence and thank her for the skill, dedication, and hard work she has brought to the job these past nine years. We wish Amy all the best!

Our new Finance Director is Amanda Johnson. Amanda has lived in Sitka for twenty-four years and has worked for the University of Alaska (Sitka Campus) and Sitka Trail Works. She brings a wealth of bookkeeping, database, and office technology experience to the job. An active outdoorswoman, Amanda has spent many hours on the waters around Sitka.

AMSEA also welcomes Ellexis Howey to its staff. Ellexis started in ​​December as an Administrative​​Assistant. A commercial fisherwoman, born and raised in Sitka, she attended Indiana University graduating with a degree in Liberal Studies. Ellexis has been involved in many fisheries throughout Southeast Alaska.
